Manhunt after Richmond business robbery leaves shopowner dead

Richmond police are investigating cases of murder, attempted murder as well as business robbery after a shop owner was killed and his son wounded this afternoon.

Police say four suspects robbed a business on Chilli Road earlier today - shooting dead the 55-year-old owner.
The police's Thulani Zwane says the man's 25-year old son remains in stable condition in hospital.

"The suspect fled the scene after taking an undisclosed amount of cash and other items. Later, police were called and managed to arrest two suspects who were found in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
"The same firearm that was recovered is suspected that it was used during this robbery case. The other two suspects are still at large and police are still looking for them," he said.
