Man stabbed in Kenville home invasion

A man's recovering in hospital after he was assaulted and stabbed during a home invasion in Kenville, north of Durban.

Police
say he was sleeping when three intruders broke into his home and demanded cash
from him on Saturday night. They stabbed and punched him, before making off
with his cell phone, cameras and television.
Emer-G-Med paramedics spokesperson Kyle Van Reenen says they responded to the incident.

"Reports from the scene are that a male, approximately fifty years of age, suffered a stab wound when he was confronted by armed suspects during a house robbery.
“The man was treated and stabilised on scene by emergency care practitioners before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.”
