Man shot multiple times at his Verulam home

A man was shot dead in his home in Verulam, north of Durban on Thursday.

KwaZulu-Natal SAPS spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says a case of murder is being investigated after the attack in Canelands.
"A 34-year-old man was fatally shot in the early hours of this morning while sleeping at his place of residence on Station Road in Canelands.
"The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage."

Meanwhile, a man is appearing at a South Coast court for allegedly killing his partner at the weekend.
Police allege that the mother of his three-year-old child was assaulted and killed during a heated argument at her home in Qungeni.
He handed himself over to Hibberdene police.
