KZN man in court for killing lover during quarrel

A man accused of his partner's murder is due to line up in a South Coast court for the first time on Thursday.

The 28-year-old handed himself over to authorities at the Hibberdene police station on Tuesday.
Police allege that the mother of his three-year-old child was assaulted and killed during a heated argument at her home in Qungeni over the weekend.

Mandisa Ngubo's family says the 20-year-old was working hard to complete her matric studies.
Her aunt, Zama Ngubo, says she hopes for justice.
"We are pleased that the suspect has finally been arrested. What we're hoping to hear in court is the charge he's facing, but he deserves to rot in jail."
