UPDATE: Three people have been arrested following the murder of a man in the Pietermaritzburg CBD this morning.

The man was found with multiple gunshot wounds near Church Street.
ER24's Russel Meiring says he had been left in a critical condition after sustaining several gunshot wounds.
"Paramedics found that the patient’s vital signs rapidly diminished. CPR and further advanced life support interventions were initiated in an effort to revive the patient. Unfortunately, after some time, no vital signs returned and the man was declared dead," he says.
KZN police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says officers were quick to respond to the incident.
"The police immediately arrested the suspects and the firearm believed to be used during the shooting was also recovered. The motive for the killing is still unknown at this stage. These three suspects will be appearing in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate's Court soon facing charges of murder," he says.
