Man shot during hijacking in Manor Gardens

A man has been shot in an apparent hijacking in Durban.

While the circumstances surrounding the ordeal aren't yet clear, the man in his sixties was hit multiple times in the legs on Wheeler Road in Manor Gardens.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says they responded to calls for help after 7pm on Sunday.

"On arrival they found the man in a serious condition. He has sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his legs and was stabilized on the scene by paramedics before he was transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required.
"SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further."
Meanwhile, Jamieson's urging residents to be more vigilant when entering and leaving their homes.
