Detectives made a breakthrough and arrested the suspect on Friday - after months of tracking his movements.

He's believed to have had a hand in the murders of two people who were beaten and stoned to death in separate incidents in Durban's Cato Manor area.

Saps spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says he will join four other people who have been linked to the killings in the dock.

Zwane says the attacks took place in 2018 and earlier this year.

"It is alleged that the victim was at Msimbini area when he was attacked by a group of suspects. He was allegedly assaulted to death. A case of murder was opened at the Cato Manor police station," Zwane said.
