Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Police are working to track down a gang that killed a man in a drive-by shooting in Richards Bay.
KZN police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says the 50-year-old man was found inside his vehicle in Meerensee on Monday night.
"Information at police disposal at this stage suggests that an unknown number of suspects who were driving in a grey or silver Hyundai opened fire at the victim's vehicle using rifles before fleeing from the scene. The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage, and a manhunt is underway."
Members of the local Community Policing Forum were the first at the scene.

Meerensee CPF vice-chairperson Henk Van Niekerk says this is not the first such incident.
"We live in an area where this type of killing happens much too frequently. Our community has positively reacted to our request, camera footage and witness statements that have been taken by the investigators. We are assisting and providing information to the investigators."
It's understood that the victim is a procurement manager at a large corporate company.
