Man killed in hail of bullets at Umkomaas home
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
A South Coast man has been shot dead at his home.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst says the man was found lying face down in a pool of blood in his front garden in Umkomaas on Thursday.
It’s believed the victim was in his late forties.
"Reports allege that an unknown number of gunmen in a single vehicle stopped outside the patient's gate, whereupon the patient exited the house to investigate," says Herbst.

"As the patient approached the gate, the gunmen opened fire, using high-calibre weapons.
"The patient, whose body was riddled with gunshot wounds, was assessed, however, showed no signs of life and was sadly declared deceased on the scene."
