Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Pinetown police are on the hunt for a suspect, following a failed robbery in which a 55-year old man was shot and wounded in Cowies Hill.

It's understood the man had just arrived home this morning when he was accosted by three armed robbers who shot at him.
The police's Thulani Zwane says the victim had a gun on him and fired back.
"The suspects shot at this man and he was wounded on his chest. The man then retaliated, fatally wounding one suspect and the other two managed to flee the scene.
