Updated | By Bernadette Wolhuter
KwaZulu-Natal police are searching for more suspects following a brazen armed robbery in KwaDukuza this week.
A cache of weaponry was stolen when a heavily armed gang stormed a private security company.
The men held up staff and made off with 13 pistols, cellphones and a company car on Wednesday night.
The police's Thulani Zwane says officers in Maphumulo managed to catch three suspects yesterday. A fourth suspect was killed in a shootout.
"Police received information about the whereabouts of the suspects and they saw the same vehicle stolen from the security company," Zwane said.

Zwane says the suspects started to shoot at the police, once the officers approached them.
"Eight firearms suspected to be stolen from the security company were recovered. The rest of the firearms are still outstanding," he said.
The suspects are due in court soon.
Police say they will face charges of attempted murder, robbery, the illegal possession of firearms and stolen property.
