Man gunned down near flats in Cornubia

Police in Verulam is investigating a case of
murder after a man was gunned down near a block of flats in Cornubia, north of
Durban.

Officers found spent 9mm cartridges at the scene where the victim tried to evade the shooters on Wednesday.
KZN police spokesperson Thenjiswa Ngcobo says a woman and a child, who was leaving for work and school, escaped injury after some bullets hit their vehicle.

"It is alleged that a 40-year-old was walking on the road when he was shot and killed by two suspects who then fled on foot. He sustained multiple injuries and was declared dead on the scene."
