Man gunned down in Waterloo home

Authorities are on the hunt for two suspects who shot and killed a man in Verulam, north of Durban.

Samkelo Mazamo, 25, was at his home in Waterloo when he was approached by two suspects.
A short while later, the two opened fire on Mazamo.
Reaction Unit SA's Prem Belram says the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.
"Reaction officers were dispatched to the scene and upon arrival, interviewed several residents who informed them that a gunshot had emanated from a room near Spinach Road."

"When officers gained entry they found a male slumped on the bedroom floor. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his head, face, arm and neck.
"Paramedics who were called in established that the male was deceased, he had suffered seven gunshot wounds in total and six spent 9mm cartridges were found on scene. The motive for the shooting and the suspects remain unknown. Police are investigating a case of murder."
