Updated | By ECR Newswatch
The Mthunzini High Court has convicted and sentenced a man for murdering his girlfriend in Nongoma.

Police say 32-year-old Siyabonga Buthelezi severely assaulted Nompumelelo Mthembu last February after accusing her of cheating.
Days later, she succumbed to her injuries.
Buthelezi was arrested by Nongoma police.
He again attacked Mthembu while out on bail - and burned the 20-year-old woman to death at a local river.
He fled to Mpumalamga province and was arrested there in July.
