Police in KwaZulu-Natal have sent out an appeal to anyone who knows the whereabouts of a man believed to have killed his girlfriend in Nongoma - to contact their nearest police station.
A warrant of arrest has been issued for Siyabonga Buthelezi.
Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says the 31-year-old Buthelezi sexually assaulted his partner, Nompumelelo Mthembu with a knobkerrie at her home in March.
Buthelezi was arrested and granted bail.
It's believed earlier this month while out on bail - he went to Mthembu's home and doused her with petrol before setting her on fire.

The mother of three died in hospital a few days later.
Mbhele says Buthelezi was due back in court last week Thursday but he did not arrive.
Yesterday, Social Development officials said they had put the woman's three young children in a place of safety as they fear for their lives.
