Man fatally hit by thunderstorm in Dundee

KZN Disaster Management has confirmed that a man's been killed in a thunderstorm that wreaked havoc in Dundee, in northern KZN.
The man was struck by lightning in the Sithembile Township on Monday night.
Cogta spokesperson Siboniso Mngadi says six more people were injured as roofs and walls collapsed on them.
"And the damage cause by these thunderstorms, include flooding in various households within the township. There were also fallen trees which resulted in blocked road.

"There was also damage to infrastructure this includes roads, fence and bridges. “
“There were several businesses that also suffered losses, some farmers also lost live stocks and crops."
"There are at least 173 households that have been reported to have been damaged so far, they affected over a 1000 people."
Disaster teams are busy with mop up operations in the area.
