Man due in Howick court for elderly woman's murder

A man accused of raping and murdering a 107-year-old woman at her Mpophomeni home in the Midlands will appear in court again next week.

The 36-year-old made his first appearance in the Howick Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says he also faces housebreaking charges.
The accused had been out on parole for two other rape cases.
"He was charged for murder of an elderly woman - who was 107-years-old," she says.
