Man drowns at Umhlanga resort

A man has drowned at a company event in Umhlanga, north of Durban.
Emergency services say they were called to a holiday apartment building just before 11pm last night.
The man, believed to be about 33-years-old, had allegedly been with co-workers at the time.

Initial reports are that the man was found unconscious in the pool by a colleague.
Netcare911 says medics raced to the venue and initiated CPR.
He was declared dead at the scene.

Authorities were on scene and will investigate the circumstances leading to the incident.
