Man caught with drugs worth R2m at King Shaka

A man is due to appear in the Verulam Magistrate's Court on Monday after he was caught at King Shaka International Airport with drugs worth about R2.2 million.
KZN Hawks spokesperson Simphiwe Mhlongo says the 52-year-old was arrested on Saturday following a tip-off.
"The information was received through intelligence that there was a man who was driving from Johannesburg to King Shaka International Airport."

"He was about to board the plane to Philippines. He was located in the airport and he was placed under arrest."
Officers found more than six kilograms of cocaine concealed in his luggage.
He is facing charges of drug trafficking and possession of drugs.
