A man accused of trafficking drugs valued at more than R2
million at King Shaka International will be spending a week in police
custody.
The 52-year-old was nabbed by members of the Hawks, who were tipped off about a man driving to the airport from Johannesburg this past weekend.
Law enforcement teams arrested the suspect as he was preparing to board a plane to the Philippines.
Officers say more than six kilograms of cocaine were hidden in his luggage.
