Updated | By Newswatch
Advocate Malesela Teffo has been struck from the roll of advocates.
The High Court in Pretoria made its ruling on Friday.
The Legal Practice Council brought the application, saying it had received numerous complaints about Teffo's conduct in and out of court.
It includes his alleged assault of a female police officer.

The council had asked the court to either suspend him of have him disbarred.
Teffo represented four of the five accused in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial.
He withdrew from the case two months ago, saying he'd been intimidated by the police and the National Prosecuting Authority and claimed President Cyril Ramaphosa was behind it.
The Presidency has denied the allegations.
