Zandi Khumalo and Senzo Meyiwa ‘were in a relationship’
The Pretoria High Court has heard how former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa were in a relationship with two sisters Kelly and Zandile Khumalo.
Defence for accused number one to four, Timothy Tshepo Thobane, put it to court that Meyiwa was also in a sexual relationship with Zandile.
He said there is a witness who will come and testify about the nature of Zandi and Meyiwa’s relationship.
“There will be a next witness who will testify that Senzo ended up having a relationship with Zandi as well. He had a sexual relationship with Zandi because Kelly has been away for a long time,” said Thobane.

Meyiwa’s best friend, Tumelo Madlala, who is under cross-examination did not confirm nor deny the statement.
He instead told the court that Senzo loved women.
Proceedings against the five men accused of killing Meyiwa will conclude on Friday for this cycle.
The court case is expected to resume in November.
