Malema calls for BRICS boycott in solidarity with Putin
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
Julius Malema has called on countries such as China and India not to send their heads of state to the BRICS summit in South Africa - in solidarity with Russian president Vladimir Putin.
"Because what South Africa did to President Putin is serious humiliation of a sitting president."
The EFF leader spoke at an event attended by diplomats, which forms part of the party's 10th birthday celebrations.

Putin won't attend next month's summit in Johannesburg due to a warrant of arrest issued against him by the International Criminal Court.
"South Africa's foreign policy and its sovereignty have been undermined by NATO forces and the USA," Malema said.
