Makhosi Khoza responds to charges brought by KZN ANC
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
ANC MP Makhosi Khoza says she is consulting with her attorney over the formal charges laid against her by the party in the province.
Khoza has been charged with ill-discipline after publicly criticising some of the party's recent decisions around President Jacob Zuma and asking for a secret ballot in next month's motion of no confidence in Zuma.
She's received death threats over her outspokenness.

Khoza released a media statement on her Facebook page - saying the ANC needs to explain why no action is being taken against other party members who have publicly raised concerns over President Jacob Zuma's leadership.
Khoza says she will, as a life-long member of the ANC, attend the disciplinary hearing.
However, she has reservations as to the fairness of the process.
Khoza has accused the current ANC leadership of not putting the people of South Africa first. She's made several public calls for President Zuma to step down.
The MP, who has been receiving death threats, has also turned down the protection offered to her by Parliament and SAPS .
Khoza says she will continue to utilise the private security she has already arranged.
The ANC in KZN has confirmed it's set aside September 10 for Khoza's disciplinary hearing
