Makhosi Khoza has launched her newly-formed party, the African Democratic Change.

The former MP, who left the ANC in September, says although the road ahead is long, they are ready to forge ahead.
"We want to come up with the correct solutions. We are here because we do not want to sugar-coat problems. We have to confront the problems and challenges in this country," she said.

She says it is important for the new organisation to have principled leaders.
"The major problem within the ruling party is not so much that there are no good men and women within the party, but the problem is that leaders are not principled. When they have to take a courageous stand on a fundamental issue affecting the nation they dilly dally," she said.
