Magashule must apologise for suspension notice or face disciplinary: Ramaphosa

African National Congress (ANC) President, Cyril Ramaphosa says the party's suspended Secretary-General, Ace Magashule must apologise for his notice last week in which he said he'd suspended Ramaphosa.

The corruption accused Magashule wrote the letter hours after his suspension was confirmed by the party.
Ramaphosa has given the closing statement on the special NEC meeting that was held over the weekend.

He says the NEC agreed Magashule had no authority or mandate from any structure within the party.
"The NEC agreed that such conduct was completely unacceptable and a violation of rules, norms and the values of the African National Congress.
"The NEC furthermore instructed the officials to advise the secretary-general to apologise publicly to ANC structures and members within a said timeframe. If he fails to do so, the ANC will institute disciplinary procedures in accordance with the ANC constitution.
