LOOK: Let it snow! Drakensberg picturesque as it's blanketed in white powder

Snow has begun falling in some parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

Champagne Valley resident Kat Dowling says the Drakensberg mountains are being blanketed in snow.
"I can't see the mountain at all. A huge storm has come across - it's dark and grey and it's snowing. It's defiantly going to get heavier.

" The wind has picked up it's getting cold but everything is changing. The wind is picking up and it's definitely getting way cold. Now there is lightning - it's a full-on storm."

The South African Weather Service says the rest of the province can also expect showers and thundershowers on Tuesday afternoon.
It's warned of possible flooding.

Residents living in uMkhanyakude, eastern Zululand and surrounding areas are urged to postpone any unnecessary trips, especially those in low-lying areas.
KZN Cooperative Governance spokesperson Senzelwe Mzila says the disaster management team are on standby.
"MEC Hlomuka has warned residents to exercise extreme caution and properly plan and trips to ensure that they don't find themselves stranded specifically in areas that have been forecast to have heavy snowfalls.

"Disaster management teams will be keeping a close eye on all the major routes and areas that are prone to flooding."
