LOOK: KZN truck accident causes 10km traffic backlog

There has been a serious collision this morning on the N3 heading towards Durban near Umlaas Road.

It involves two heavy-duty trucks.
It is understood that one of the vehicles that tried to pass the crash scene is now stuck on the far right lane.
Traffic has come to a complete standstill, with motorists sitting in a 10-kilometre long backlog.

A SANRAL operator says according to officials there, there have been serious injuries, "It's a two-lane and at the moment traffic is at a standstill."
"People can use the R103, that will be helpful because at the moment they can't pass on the south-bound," she said.
She urges motorists to have a look out for traffic backlog and add a few extra hours to their trip.
Police and medics are on the scene.
