A man is cycling over two thousand (2450) kilometres through five provinces to raise awareness about violence against women and children.
Lunga Ncala is on the journey as part of the 16 Days of Activism campaign which began last Wednesday.
He says his one-man trek which he's been taking on since 2015, is inspired by his own experience of abuse and his journey in healing.
"I have been able to build myself up from a spiritual and emotional point of view and understand that abuse does not define me and nor do I have to continue the chain of abuse towards my own children."

"I'm doing this so I can teach and help others."
He took off from Johannesburg and is currently in Pietermaritzburg.
He plans to end his ride in Cape Town on the 21st of December.
"There is no support vehicle, there is no aid on the way, there is no financial backing from anybody it's all me.
"I'm basically simulating the life of somebody who is abused, who steps out of abusive phase you often find yourself all alone, noone to help you or to give you any sort of aid, but you still have to press on towards your healing," said Ncala.
