Load shedding can't be ruled out during festive season: Eskom
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
Eskom says they're working to keep the lights on - during this festive season.

"The plan ultimately from management is to do everything possible to avoid load shedding. I'm afraid for as long as we do not have enough generating of power - there's high probability we could experience some high incidents," Eskom's Khulu Phasiwe said.
He says a number of their power generating units shutdown unexpectedly and several pump storage facilities recorded low water levels.
Phasiwe says load shedding over the festive season can't be ruled out.
"Every municipality has it's own schedule. Therefore municipalities are the ones who are going to implement it based on their schedule," Phasiwe said.
