A woman, travelling with other members of her family, has been hurt in a hijacking along Pitlochry Road in Westville North this afternoon.
The woman, her daughter and her sister-in-law had traveled from Newcastle to visit family at the Chiltern Gardens complex, and stopped next to the intercom outside the main gate - when two men approached them on foot.

Surekha Maraj says one of the hijackers reached into her car through her open window to pull the key out of the ignition.
She says a local security guard and the hijackers exchanged gunfire before the suspects fled in the vehicle.
This neighbour, who spoke to Newswatch soon after the incident, says she heard several shots and ran outside to see what was happening.
"There were like five or six shots that went, and I knew that something had gone wrong. I came running, because my son was coming home from school, and I thought it had happened to my mom," she said.
Police officers are currently searching for the car.
