LISTEN: UniZulu launches rape dialogue programme

It's hoped a newly-launched sexual and gender based violence dialogue programme will encourage victims to speak up.
The Department of Higher Education and the Higher Education and Training HIV/AIDS Programme held a joint interaction session with students at the University of Zululand, yesterday.

Accounts of abuse were heard - while ideas and suggestions in dealing with the issue were shared.
Director of the programme, Dr Ramneek Ahluwalia, says sexual violence and rape culture are rife on South Africa's university and college campuses.
He says students who are victims are not always sure how to go about reporting sexual abuse.
