The National Freedom Party has expelled its treasurer-general Xolani Ndlovu following a disciplinary hearing which sat for more than a month.

The party found Ndlovu guilty of failing to pay a deposit on time to the IEC which led to the party being disqualified from contesting the recent Local government elections.
Ndlovu was facing five charges which included the misappropriation of party funds as well as gross dishonesty and corruption.
