LISTEN: Hundreds of vehicles seized in KZN

Some 260 secondhand vehicles have been detained in Durban this week. This as part of a SARS Customs and Excise-led operation aimed at cracking down on illicit trade in KwaZulu-Natal.
The operation spanned over two days and saw inter-governmental teams deployed to the Port of Durban and other high risk areas in the province.
The acting chief officer for SARS Customs and Excise, Beyers Theron addressed the media in Phoenix yesterday.

Theron says the successes of the operation include the detention of 260 secondhand vehicles, the bust of suspected counterfeit clothing and the discovery of compressed dagga.
Nearly 30 illegally imported vehicles were destroyed yesterday.
