LISTEN: Gingindlovu residents furious over water delivery delays
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Gingindlovu residents say they are frustrated at having to wait for hours for a cup of water.

The King Cetshwayo District Municipality asked residents not to drink the water in their homes after a second contamination was picked up at the Gingindlovu water purification plant last week.
The municipality says discharges, from a private sugar mill, polluted the Amatigulu River - the main water source for residents.

The municipality says technicians are looking at installing a new line from the current abstraction point to the upstream source, but in the meantime, communities have been asked to fetch water from tankers.
Residents from the community say the municipality is taking too long to deliver water to communities there. Thembisa Maseko, who is a local resident, says they have to wait hours for water.
