LISTEN: Emergency centre set up at Vanderbijlpark school
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi says an emergency centre is being set up at Höerskool Driehoek in Vanderbijlpark where three learners have been killed after a walkway collapsed.

The bridge that connects two buildings at Höerskool Driehoek came down before 8.30am this morning.
Lesufi says a number of pupils were affected.
"We can now officially confirmed that 26 learners were affected. Of the 26 learners, three are deceased. Of the three deceased, two are males and one is a female. So far we have managed to identify one deceased learner. We are trying very hard for the school communication system to identify the remaining two's next of kin," Lesufi said.
Paramedics who responded to the scene say pupils sustained injuries ranging from minor to critical.
He says it is a tragic day.
