A construction worker has been killed and six others injured in a structural collapse in Groutville on KwaZulu-Natal's north coast.
According to Netcare 911, a wall collapsed onto the seven workers near the Luthuli Museum at around noon.
Spokesperson, Shawn Herbst says they had been digging a trench next to a wall, when the wall keeled over.
"The gentleman that died had severe head and chest injuries and was declared deceased on the scene. The other six patients sustained mild injuries but mostly crush injuries," Herbst said.
