LISTEN: Durban cops praised after Westville robbery
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A Westville resident whose video of a shootout between a police officer and robbery suspects on Wednesday morning went viral, says the incident left him with nothing but respect for the police.

Robert Harmon says he was near the Village Market Mall when he started hearing gunfire.
Police say a group of suspects entered and robbed the local Post Office.

Officers met the suspected robbers on exiting, and a shootout ensued.
One suspect was shot dead, a member of the public, a security guard and a police officer were treated.
Harmon says as the gunfire got closer, he decided to grab his phone to start filming when he saw a policeman get in front of him.
"I heard like three of four different weapons being used against him and I realised he is outnumbered. I didn't realise at the time thee was another policeman involved."
"I heard a few of his shots going off, and I heard his gun going quite, and this other policeman was continuing to fire," he said.
