Level 2 alert for disruptive rains in parts of KZN
Updated | By Newswatch
The South African Weather Service has issued a warning for KZN's southern and western regions.
Forecasters say the level 2 alert applies to the Ugu, uMgungundlovu, UThukela and Harry Gwala district municipalities as well as parts of eThekwini.
Heavy rains could cause travel disruptions and damage to infrastructure.
"We are actually expecting some rain today, tomorrow and also on Monday. So, starting tonight, we're expecting at least 30 to 40 mm of rainfall. It might result in localised flooding in some areas. Small bridges, roads and mud-based houses might be affected."

Forecaster Wiseman Dlamini says we could see snow blanketing some parts, outside the province, this weekend.
"For now, there is a slight indication of snow but not for us in KZN. It is more visible over Lesotho. There is nothing indicated for the Drakensburg region over KZN. Some areas are reaching as low as 7°C tonight."
