Lectures resume at UKZN Edgewood Campus

Lectures at UKZN’s Edgewood campus are set to continue today following protests over accommodation there on Friday.
Some students blocked the entrance to the campus in Pinetown. They were angry over an off-campus residence they share with soldiers.
Students also wanted better ablution and cooking facilities.

The SRC’s Xolani Dube says an agreement was reached when UKZN management met with student leadership on Friday afternoon.
"We agreed on the issue of finding alternative space. When this all happened - the students slept in one of the dining halls - so we were with them," he says.
