At least 7 people are being treated by medical emergency personnel following this morning's explosion at the Engen oil refinery in the Merebank area, south of Durban.

It's still hasn't been established what caused it with some residents taking to social media to say a quake was felt as far as the surrounding areas.
The facility is still engulfed with flames and traffic has been severely affected.
Advanced Life Support paramedic, Garrith Jamieson says on arrival, EMRS made a designated area where the ambulances were set to park. "Firefighters and rescuers entered the complex and the injured were brought out to waiting ambulances."
