Updated | By Lauren Hendricks
The Durban chapter of the
world's largest floating book fair has officially opened to the public.

The Logos Hope returned to the city over a week ago, docking at the Nelson Mandela Cruise Terminal.
The ship's book fair began today - with its more than 500 volunteers international crew ready to welcome book lovers on board.
There are over five thousand titles to browse or buy on the vessel.
Publishers worldwide supply books, which cover a wide range of categories, including novels, children's books, and medicine.

Logos Hope is operated by GBA Ships - a non-profit German organisation.
It collaborates with local partners on charitable projects.
"Our expectations are to build good connections, make a good impact on the communities, and bring hope. As we said before, our desire is to share knowledge, help, and hope through the book,” Anastasia Leushkina, who is the media officer.
“We share help with our practical work. Sometimes we go on show, we do practical projects: painting, buildings and of course, we share stories of personal transformation."
Local teacher Lee Beard joined the launch on Wednesday and said it would open up a new world for future bookworms.
"I really enjoy education, and for kids, this will be the place to be. Books and literature are amazing. Picking up a book instead of watching TV would be a much better tool for reading a book.
The book fair will run until the 3rd of June.
