KZN woman accused of killing sister to remain behind bars

A KwaZulu-Natal woman accused of the murder of her police officer sister has been remanded in custody.

Bongeka Somani appeared in the Umzimkhulu Magistrate’s Court on Friday following her arrest on Wednesday by the Hawks.
Somani is one of two suspects.
Her alleged accomplice, 24-year-old Siyabulela Mbhele, was arrested on Monday in Ibisi.

He appeared in court on Wednesday and also remains in custody.
It's alleged the pair shot and killed Sergeant Nokuthula Somani in her home in April, while the motive for the killing is not yet clear.
The duo will appear together in court next Friday for bail application.
