KZN Education warns schools against withholding matric results

The Department of Education in KZN has warned schools against withholding matric results over unpaid fees.

The department has received complaints from parents and guardians about some schools that refused to release their children's report cards over outstanding fees.

Many pupils, from the Class of 2023, are preparing for their first year of tertiary studies.
"We are urging them to release the reports and the statements of the learners and do arrangement with the parents and not with the learners,” says KZN Education spokesperson Muzi Mahlambi.
