KZN VIP Protection Services advise on home security measures
If you’re going away for the festive holidays, a local security company says there are a number of measures you can take to keep your home safe.
KZN VIP Protection Services says it’s important to never let your guard down as it’s a busy time for criminals as well.
Spokesperson Gareth Naidoo has cautioned against leaving your property completely unattended.
He says the theft of copper pipes and car break ins are common during the year-end holidays.
"Always notify your relevant security company that you will be living and request some patrols at the property, verify that patrols are being done."

"Pay careful attention to details. Always live a next of kin details should the need arise, if there's emergency at home so that your security company is able to assist."
