KZN Transport demands answers from PSIRA following taxi strike

KZN Transport officials want answers from private security regulator PSIRA, after roads leading to the Ladysmith CBD were blocked, in what's believed to be an ongoing taxi war in the area.

Minibuses were used to make the routes inaccessible, it's not known which association the taxi belong to. All taxis stopped running leaving many commuters without transport.

Heavily armed security officers were seen at a taxi rank on Wednesday.
Spokesperson Nomfundo Mcetywa says they need answers on the involvement of private security.
