Three suspects appeared in the Glencoe Magistrate's Court on Wednesday in connection with the murder of a northern KwaZulu-Natal teenager.

The three men were arrested in Ladysmith on Monday night.
This after the burnt remains of 15-year-old Cebisile Luphondwe were found in a shallow grave outside a farm in Glencoe.
Police say it's alleged Luphondwe had an argument with her boyfriend earlier that day.
KZN SAPS spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala says officers were led to Ladysmith where the girl's 23-year-old boyfriend and two other suspects aged 28 and 29 were arrested on suspicion of murder.
"It is alleged that the victim was severely assaulted and stabbed and buried in a shallow grave. The body remains of the deceased were found at different areas."
"The DNA analysis will be conducted to determine the identity of the victim as well as the possible date of death," she said.
Gwala says at this stage the motive for the killing is unknown.

“The swift response of the integrated team in
making sure that the ruthless murderers are brought to book is highly
commended. We are appealing to community members to allow the police to conduct
their investigation freely and not to take matter into their own hands,” said the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner,
Lieutenant General Khombinkosi Jula.
