KZN taxi violence tops agenda at Santaco meeting

The leadership of taxi council, Santaco in KZN will meet tomorrow to discuss the violence that has gripped the industry in northern parts of the province.
This after the murder of 66-year-old, Sibusiso Nkomonde, who was gunned down on Sunday evening.
He was the second taxi boss to be killed in as many weeks.
Nkomonde was the chairperson of the Sizwe Taxi Association in the Amajuba region.
Santaco KZN spokesperson, Sfiso Ntshangase says they are worried about the volatile situation there.

"It's very painful to all of us but on Wednesday - we just want to assure the entire KZN population that leadership will meet to look into the killings in the province of KZN," he says.
Muzi Ngobese, the deputy chairperson of the Klipriver Taxi Association, was killed in an ambush while travelling near Ladysmith last week.
His teenage daughter and three other people lost their lives. Their bakkie then crashed into another vehicle, killing six school teachers.
