No national taxi strike: Santaco
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
The SA National Taxi Council says it’s not aware of planned strike action said to take place by taxi operators this week.
Messages have been circulated on Whatsapp about a national shutdown.
But Santaco's Sfiso Ntshangase says taxis will run as normal.
"The leadership has not met to discuss the issue of any strike that is intended to take place during the course of this week but the regional leadership hasn't conveyed any message," he says.

Ntshangase has assured commuters they'll be notified early, should operators plan to go on strike.
"So far, there isn't any strike that has been communicated through the leadership of SANTACO," he says.
