It's a scorcher of a day in KwaZulu Natal, with the mercury rising to almost 40-degrees in some places.

As the province braces for extremely hot and humid conditions, the weather office has asked us to be aware of extremely uncomfortable conditions in the eastern parts.
A high fire danger warning's been issued for the western and interior parts. Expect a high of 34-degrees in Durban. Newcastle and Ladysmith will bake at 36.
The SA Weather Service says blistering hot conditions will see the mercury hitting 38 and 39 in Maritzburg and Richards Bay, respectively.
Remember to apply sunscreen before you leave home.
